Anatomy VR *Disclaimer: Currently does not function Equipment: Quest 2/Quest 3 Set up:  Turn on the headset and create a new boundary. The playspace should be stationary (standing or sitting, choice of the player) and allow for full arm movement. From the menu bar, open the App Library. In the upper right side of the screen, there should be a drop-down menu with something like “All” and a number next to it. Select the drop-down menu and scroll all the way down until you see “Unknown Sources,” and select this option.  Locate and open the Anatomy VR file (labeled “AnatomyVR”) in Unknown Sources. Controls/Navigation: Trigger button to select Hold grip to grab Both joysticks to scroll Right joystick to turn (a left/right push shifts it slightly to the right, and back push shifts it from front to back and vice versa) Gameplay:  Landing screen shows the name of the application and, at the bottom, a row of options Selecting each option takes them to a different body part (Brain, eye, spine, heart) The three-lines option to the left isn’t a body part but a menu bar. If pressed, it will hide the list of options to select and bring them back if pressed again Each option opens a list in the upper left side of the screen of different parts of the body. Selecting an option from the list will allow the player to read little blurbs of information about each part. One of the options, the spine, makes two more options pop up. One is to see information for the spine, and the other is an option to play a game. The game requires you to put together a spine from memory. To put together the spine in the game, the player will grab the pieces of the spine on the table and drag them to the spaces of the long backbone. If the player is correct in their placement, the piece should just “click” into place. Classroom Management Equipment: Quest 2/Quest 3 Set up:  Turn on the headset and create a new boundary. The playspace should be stationary (standing or sitting, choice of the player) and allow for arm movement. From the menu bar, open the App Library. In the upper right side of the screen, there should be a drop down menu with something like “All” and a number next to it. Select the drop down menu and scroll all the way down until you see “Unknown Sources”, and select this option.  Locate and open the Classroom Management file (labeled “CMVR”) in Unknown Sources. Controls/Navigation: Trigger button to select Gameplay:  Landing screen provides a brief description of who you are, and has a box under it that says “Begin Observation”. Select this box to start the simulation. The scene will start playing. The player is welcome to look around the classroom to observe students as the scene plays out. At the end of the scene, the screen will explain what just happened. After reading it, the student can select the “click here to continue” button to read the response options. A list of 10 options will be displayed, the player can read each option and choose whichever one is closest to what they’d choose. After making their selection, a new scene will play, showing the student response to what they decided to do and/or say.  After the scene plays, it will take the player back to the start screen. They’re welcome to redo the simulation as many times as they want to explore different options.   Drone VR Equipment: Quest 3 or Quest 2 and Macbook for casting. Set up: Turn on the headset and create a new boundary. The playspace should be standing and allow for full range of arm motion and potentially walking. Open the App Library then select the folder with the question mark on the left hand side (or, if on a Quest 2 that hasn’t been updated, select the drop down menu in the upper right side and scroll down to Unknown Sources). Select and open the file labeled “Drone VR Trainer”.  Open the Macbook and cast (directions in Technical Walkthroughs). Controls/Navigation:  Grip to grab Right joystick to teleport and turn Left joystick for continuous movement Trigger to select Gameplay:  Opens on the landing screen. The player may end up facing a scissor lift or the blackboard. If facing the scissor lift, the player should turn around to face the blackboard and select “start”. The player may be placed in front of a blackboard that says “Simulation Management” at the top with two options: “main menu” (will return them to the main menu) and “reset simulation”. If the player turns to their right, they will see a scissors lift, and a bit more to the right is another blackboard that says “Select Assembly Mode” at the top. There will be three options for the player to choose from, with the options being: “Learning”, “Practice”, and “Assessment”. The player will need to teleport or move closer to the board to select any of the three options and begin the simulation. If the player selects “Learning”, the blackboard in front of them will change and give them directions, or a task, and then explain how to complete the task. At this point, the player can use the teleport or continuous movement to complete actions. If the player selects “Practice”, the blackboard in front of them will change and give them directions but the player does not get an explanation as to how to complete the directions. They can, however, get a hint if they struggle with remembering how to do what the blackboard says. If the player selects “Assessment”, the blackboard in front of them will change and give them a single task: to complete making a drone. They get no directions or help and it will be purely based on their memory. The player can switch between these different modes by teleporting to the “Simulation Management” blackboard and selecting “Reset Simulation” or they can select to return to the Main Menu where they’ll have to select “Start” again to see the Assembly Modes Fire Action Control Simulator Equipment: Quest 3 Set up: Turn on the headset and create a new boundary. The playspace should be standing and allow for full range of arm motion.  Open the app library and search or scroll for Fire Action Control Simulator.  Once found, select the Fire Action Control Simulator.  Controls/Navigation:  Grip to select choices or pick up items  Trigger to spray extinguisher  Gameplay:  Experience opens to menu screen with two options (tutorial or simulation)  Once guest selects simulation they will see another menu screen with three options (small fire, large fire, or random)  Small fire  Use grip button to pull fire alarm while hovering over the alarm (to the user’s left)  Use grip button to call 911 while hovering over the phone (to the user’s right)  Use grip button to pick up fire extinguisher while hovering over the extinguisher Use grip button to pull pin from fire extinguisher Use trigger button to spray from fire extinguisher (user must use the trigger button in whichever hand they are holding the extinguisher) Once fire is extinguished have user turn around and use grip button to complete building evacuation Large fire  Use grip button to pull fire alarm while hovering over the alarm (to the users left)  Use grip button to call 911 while hovering over the phone (to the users right)  After calling 911 have user turn around and use grip button to complete buiding evacuation while hovering over the selection box After extingushing the fire or evacuating the building the user will see a breakdown of their completed or missed steps during the experience Return to main menu   Gesture Interface Equipment: Kinect & TV   Set up:  Turn on the computer Open the Gesture Interface file Hit “run” Controls/Navigation:  Right arm to swipe right Left arm to swipe left Gameplay:  Have the person stand in front of the Kinect so that the program registers them. In the middle screen, they should be outlined as a red stick figure and have two red, gridded panels by their sides, with one on the left and other on the right. If they don’t have the panels, they may need to raise one or both arms into the air to get the software’s attention. The person then needs to press the panels with their arm(s) to signal for the program to swipe through different photos with information about the photo and the experience it relates to. There are photos on the left and right screens with small blurbs of information about the photo at the bottom and the experience it’s for at the top. Notes about the arms: Using long sleeves as arms works with the experience. The system will track the long sleeves as arms even if there aren’t any actual arms in them, so the user just needs to swing their body to get the sleeves in the air and aim them at the panels to interact with the experience Elbows do not reach the grid. If someone is missing their arms up to their elbow and isn’t wearing long sleeves, they can’t interact with the experience very well   The Great Experiment Single Player Equipment: Quest 3 or Quest 2 (Quest 3 preferred) Set up: Turn on the headset and create a new boundary.
