Pharmacy Sterile Compounding

Equipment: Quest 3


Set up: 

  1. Turn on the headset and create a new boundary. The playspace should be standing and allow for full range of arm motion.

  2. Open Turn on the headset and create a new boundary. The playspace should be standing and allow for full range of arm motion.

  3. Open the App Library, then select the folder with the question mark on the left-hand side.

  4. Locate and open the Pharmacy Sterile Compounding VR file (labeled SterileCompounding) in Unknown Sources.


Controls/Navigation: 

  • Grip to grab

  • Right joystick to turn and teleport

  • Trigger to spray the spray bottle


Gameplay: 

  1. Opens on the landing screen with the name of the game to the left, controller “tutorial” to the right, and a door in the middle (should be in front of the player).

  2. The player needs to teleport to the door and then grab the door handle. It will teleport them into the first room.

  3. Once in the room, the player will be given directions on what to do. When directed to put something on, the player must grab the item after teleporting towards it.

  4. When done, the player will be directed to a new door. Grabbing the doorknob of this door will teleport the player to a new room.

  5. In the new room, the player will be taught (via direction) how to set up for and go through the process of sterile compounding. They don’t need to teleport anywhere, but they will need to turn.

  6. The game will send the player back to the landing screen once they successfully complete the operation.
